Max O. Menos is a German author, musician, photographer, graphic designer, web designer, copywriter, reader, cineaste, buddhist, passionate cook, lover of the English language, father, and—you’d have to put it this way—a country bumpkin-at-heart. After several years of «conclave» in a small village on the beautiful island of Samos, Greece, the former Hamburg resident now predominantly lives in an even smaller village at the Northern German Baltic coast.

Texts: From a very young age Max O. Menos has been writing (very) short and not-so-short stories. Unfortunately for English speaking readers, all of these are in German, as is the novel in development, «Yamuna und der Mann aus Ka’Arratt».

Music: Max O. Menos was a founding member of Soulounge, quite a popular project even beyond Germany’s borders. He produced Doris Decker’s first album and the second one of Fred Adrett. The first album by Max O. Menos himself was released in 1989/90 when he still went by the name of «Zhouy»; «Zhouy At The Zoo» has been a sold-out rarity for years. Among others, this album today is available again as a download through bandcamp.com.

Images: «A picture is worth a thousand words» — for viewing Max O. Menos’ pictures (or better, photos, to be more precise) you’d need no explanation whatsoever. Just klick on the link to the left, «BILDER».
